A new gameplay video for GOALS, the EA FC rival developed by Stockholm-based studio GOALS, which will go into open beta testing on Steam in September, has been leaked. And by the founder of the studio developing the game!
GOALS looks like it will feature arcade gameplay
GOALS, the game of the same name founded by former Counter-Strike world champion Andreas Thorstensson and developed by GOALS studio where he is the creative director, is on its way to becoming a competitor of EA FC.
We don’t have many details about the game, which will open to open beta on Steam next September. However, we can infer from the gameplay video you can watch above that the game will have an arcade gameplay style.
The game’s graphics are also not realistic. According to Andreas’ statements, the game gives importance to ‘reaction’ before player, league and player licenses and graphic realism. The game strives to allow you to make the move you have in mind during the match, moment by moment.
This is one of the things that eFootball (PES) or EA FC (FIFA) players often complain about: “I didn’t throw that ball there!” This is the only thing Andreas doesn’t want to happen in GOALS. Of course, the AI has to excel in this situation.
The game will be released in 2025 and will enter open beta in September 2024, and you can access the Steam page here.
It looks like we now have one more EA FC competitor along with the UFL. We’re not including eFootball in this comparison anymore because… You know the drill. What do you think about the GOALS gameplay video? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
